I enjoy working in a team. I love teaching the art of sushi to new employees from scratch and seeing their learning progress and the final results!

Your career before Hana Group?
Before joining Hanagroup, I chose to become a chef specializing in Eastern cuisine, particularly sushi. I worked in various settings, including restaurants, takeaways, sushi bars, and more.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love reading and occasionally writing. I also practice spiritual activities such as meditation, yoga, and chi kung. I run regularly and make time for my loved ones, whether they are here or abroad, like my family who lives outside the country.

Can you summarize what your job consists of?
My role is to ensure the team in Palma is performing at its best, maintain a top-quality sushi display, manage production costs, and oversee tasks like stock control, staff training, and active sales. I also develop promotional strategies to boost sales.

Any of the projects you’re currently working on?
In terms of professional goals, I aim to meet all targets with the Hanagroup team in Palma, buy my own property, and continue taking cooking courses. I also strive to keep expanding my knowledge to improve my skills and continue growing both personally and professionally.

I’ve always worked in bars, and also in an ice cream shop.

An anecdote about you?
I’ve tried sushi for the first time only 2 years ago, and now I eat it all the time!

What made you want to join Hana Group?
I wanted to take up the challenge of trying a new job in a different environment.

Can you summarize your job?
I have to manage team work in order to meet the targets our Area Manager gives us. I have to make all checks to ensure that our corner is 100% meeting expected standards.

The first thing you do when you arrive at work?
Food safety checks.

What makes you most proud on a daily basis?
Working with a wonderful, enthusiastic team!

1) Your career before Hana Group:
From the discipline of the Navy to the world of retail and sales, I’ve had a rich and varied journey. Today, I’m proud to be part of Hana Group, where I feel I can truly express who I am.

2) What is your passion?
I love outdoor sports like road cycling, trekking, and surfing. In my free time, I enjoy going for a ride on my motorcycle.

3) Your motto?
“Every obstacle is an opportunity to grow.”

4) Briefly describe your job:
At Hana Group, I’m an Area Manager overseeing 18 sushi corners, including both directly managed and franchised locations, across 7 regions in Central and Southern Italy. I handle orders, staffing, and relationships with partners and customers, striving to be as present as possible at each point of sale. Every day, I work to ensure quality, synergy, and results—together with a close-knit team.

5) Your favorite Hana product?
Definitely the Vege Dragon Crunch and the Tartare Rice.

Your career before Hana Group?
I started working in kitchens at an early age and worked my way up from a pot washer to an area manager.

An anecdote about you?
I once smashed 22 plates throwing one coconut.

If you had to summarize your job?
My job means trying to help lead my team to success, by managing KPIs and coaching my people. On a typical day I get up, check on my teams, check waste and set targets, check my emails, administration, head out for site audit, check production, then check my emails and orders one last time.

What makes you most proud on a daily basis?
Getting to the end of the day knowing I have been able to help and guide others that report in to me (this doesn’t have to be work-related)

What made you want to join Hana Group?
What drove me into joining Hana Group is actually its people. I’ve met people whose values matched mine, such as being firm but fair. Some of them are proof that honesty and hard work pay off.

One last question: a Hana Group product you like to try?
The Christmas Combo Box, it shows that each year we are still creating fresh and different sushi.

Your career before Hana Group?
Before working for Hana, I was a sports coach for many years in health and fitness clubs. It was a great time, and I’m especially proud of having helped some of my clients recover from serious injuries.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love reading, enjoying my young son’s basketball — I watch all his games and as many of his practices as I can. I’m very passionate about youth sports. I also enjoy traveling with my family.

Can you summarize what your job consists of?
I’m an Area Manager, and my job is to ensure that my team keeps our displays looking great, we achieve the highest quality scores, minimize errors at the points of sale, and introduce this amazing food to as many customers as possible.

Any of the projects you’re currently working on?
The project I’m most focused on right now is launching a new store in Vigo. Historically, things haven’t gone well for us in Galicia, and I’m determined to change that.

Anything else you’d like to add?
I’d also like to say that in this company, I feel I can perform at my best. As a sportsman, I love working as part of a team, and at Hana, this is something I get to do at the highest level.

I identify and qualify new sales opportunities while leading the planning, execution, and oversight of strategic initiatives. I also facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. What I enjoy most is the teamwork—coming together with colleagues to create a smart strategy and then seeing that vision come to life. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch ideas evolve into real, measurable results.
